We have committed $10,000 to feed our community’s children through the summer and ensure the success of The Big Red Picnic!

Throughout the school year, the Souderton Area School District (SASD) is able to provide nutritious meals to many students, but over the summer months that resource is sorely missed. This summer, the Indian Valley Education Foundation (IVEF) is proud to work with a coalition of community groups bringing "The Big Red Picnic Program" to our kids.  ST Rotary has committed $10,000 to the success of this program.

The SASD Food Services department will be working with volunteers to prepare and distribute healthy brown bag lunches on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from June 17th through August 23rd between 11am and 12pm at E.M.C. Elementary or Indian Crest Middle School. Students can come to either location for a free, healthy meal.
An initiative this large takes a lot of work and fundraising, and we are witnessing the beauty of our community in this coalition.
