Join us to learn how to “agree to disagree” and turn a difficult conversation into a thoughtful discussion so we can all get along better during these polarizing times. Anxiety disorders and depression are two of the most prevalent mental health conditions in the United States, affecting nearly 40% of Americans. They can significantly affect your mood, your behavior, and your thinking. It’s important to know that if you live with one or both of these conditions, you are not alone, and help is available. Learn about common signs and symptoms, coping strategies, treatment options, how to access care, and available resources. Rotary International President Gordon R. McInally has encouraged all Rotary Clubs to have three meetings this year focusing on how mental illness and emotional health affect us all. This will be our third presentation on a mental health topic. Psychiatrist Dr. Tamoor Ilyas joined St. Luke’s Penn Foundation in August 2023. He earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in New Jersey and completed his residency in psychiatry at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Ilyas also completed a one-year psychoanalytic fellowship with the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. |
